Today, I decided to select a topic that I believe doesn’t get enough attention. Voice!

Did you know; Your voice has the power to make or break your success. Whether you’re leading your team, closing a deal, making connections at an event or speaking from stage, your voice is your ultimate superpower.

Now I’m going to share with my audience why your voice is so incredibly important and how you can maximise your potential by developing your voice.

Imagine, meeting someone for the first time. They are dressed to impress with an appearance that demonstrates authority and confidence, yet when they open their mouth to speak, you hear a meek, timid, soft voice that negates the authority that was created through their appearance.

Or let’s take the opposite scenario where you meet someone whose dress code leaves a questionable impression as to their experience and authority, yet when they open their mouth to speak, they have a strong, engaging voice that sets the tone for the conversation and leaves a lasting impression, even when they have left the room.

Either way, it’s the voice that will be remembered above the physical appearance, wouldn’t you agree?

Who doesn’t want to be seen and respected for their knowledge and expertise? We all do!

Your voice can help you establish this. When you sound confident and knowledgeable, people will take notice of you. They will be more likely to trust and follow a person who sounds like they know what they are talking about (even if they don’t!) That means, when you really discover and develop your voice, you will be able to command the room, every time you speak.
